Roads and Traffic Authority (NSW)

Sober Driver Program DVD-ROM

The RTA had produced a series of some 9 videos that are used in a driver education program on alcohol and driving.

These videos were originally delivered on VHS with overhead slides as a packaged program to the participants.

The RTA then decided to update the delivery environment to DVD. The OHP slides (approx 60 slides) were converted to digital format, the video segments were compressed to MPEG2 (DVD) format, and the video and slides authored and packaged as a DVD-ROM.

The menu structure allows the instructor to run through the slides as appropriate for each module and the associated video. A second version was authored to allow the package to be delivered as 9 weekly modules.

The video was produced by MediaCraft, and Crossroads converted the slide content, and authored the DVD on behalf of MediaCraft for the RTA.

All enquiries about the program or the DVD should be directed to the Roads and Traffic Authority (NSW)
